Community Gathering

First Baptist Church,
Haskell
September 8 (Second Monday),
2008 at 7:00 PM
(Babe Chicks and Butterflys 6:00 PM)

Blessings to all of those who showed up at our August Gathering, despite the high, and rising, cost of fuel. Which brings to mind, please make every effort in the future to car-pool and truck-pool.

Our next Candlelight is Walk 160, September 20th, Lueders, 7:00 pm - see you there!

Please check the CCEC Latest News web page for information about the CCEC Clergy Team application - the form is available online and must be completed to serve as a member of a CCEC Clergy Team on a Walk or Chrysalis weekend. We encourage all of you who wish to serve as Clergy to begin this process immediately!

Please pray for all of our fellow CCEC Members, and for our Board of Directors. Pray for God's guidance, and that the Holy Spirit will lead these men and women as they make the decisions that determine our Community's future and effectiveness.

St. Francis of Assisi: "Preach the Gospel at all times and, when necessary, use words".

Let's all be in prayer for these folks. When asked to be Lay Directors, not one felt they were worthy to lead a Walk. This shows they have a humble servant's heart, and that God will use them greatly to accomplish His purpose. Let's offer them our support and help even now as they start preparing for their Walk, and keep them in our prayers as God starts giving them direction.

James Wittenborn, Lay Director 2007, CCEC
